Position:                 Scientist or Engineer Drug Formulation Development

Client:

A Bethesda / Munich based and NASDAQ traded Drug Discovery company develops antibody based therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune- and inflammatory diseases. With its more than 120 professionals in both sites it combines excellent science with a highly, integrated development organization. It complements inhouse competence by a network of academic and industrial partners.

Tasks:

The Munich based individual covers all planning, organization, execution and documentation of studies regarding drug formulation. Key tasks are the following:

 

• Establishment and management of a laboratory group to develop and handle all formulation aspects of the company’s molecules
• Planning and timely execution of all development programs from early feasibility all the way to clinical material and formulations of the product to be launched
• Development and implementation of lyo-processes
• Establishment of protein analytics (e.g. HPLC, dynamic light scattering, Biacore)
• Documentation of the development steps. Review of documentation from outside service providers
• Summarizing and communicating the results in reports and presentations
• Transfer of the final processes to the CMO’s

Profile: 

• Science PhD or Engineer in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy
• Proven experience in drug formulation for proteins
• Proven experience in development of lyophilization processes for protein based drugs
• Ideally, you have experience in planning design of experiments (DOE) and interpretation of statistical data
• Fluency in English
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (tables, diagrams, etc.)
