Position: Business Development Manager Protein Analysis GMP
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Client
The Client is a leading supplier of products, software solutions and services for proteome research and protein analysis services to the biotech and pharma industries. A major aspect of the business is the delivery of GMP-compliant protein analysis services for biopharmaceutical development.
The Client is based in Germany and serves clients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Identify business opportunities within the protein therapeutic developement departments of Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies
- Drive business development opportunities with existing partners
- Present the Client’s technology at face-to-face meetings and congresses
- Present technical seminars at scientific meetings
- Close deals with new partners
- Develop relationships with key people within the industry to monitor the market.
- Position and market the technology offering to achieve maximum value
- Conduct market/competitive analyses
Requirements
- Several years of experience within services for protein therapeutic developments, either in practice or in a business development/sales role, with a strong network of contacts
- Strong commercial mindset with drive to close deals and grow revenues
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
- Degree in biology, biochemistry, or a closely related science
