Position:        Sales Representatives Germany – Laboratory Diagnostics

Reports to:    Country Manager Germany

Client:

With biomarkers and personalized medicine on the horizon, jobs in the Diagnostics industry will turn very challenging: traditional boundaries between Big Pharma, the traditional Top 5 of the Diagnostics industry and the hospital and commercial laboratories are up for change.

A mid size but innovative Client based in the United Kingdom wishes to benefit further from those changes and is therefore searching for experienced representatives covering parts or even all of Germany. He or she will report to a Country Manager based in their headquarters. The Client has been around for several decades, has an international presence and about 900 employees worldwide.

Tasks:

Each home based individual is in charge of the following:

  • To contribute to the company’s overall growth in one its largest markets worldwide through day-to-day management and visits of accounts
  • To add to the company’s CRM system on a daily basis; to plan calls, when visiting customers, to capture customer and market information
  • To ensure that all client details and information generated through site visits are correctly recorded and analysed to maximise sales potential
  • To maintain a high level of product knowledge and competitor awareness within his or her specified product group.
  • To train further sales staff in the company’s Sales Process, market and product knowledge.
  • To prepare sales reports and projections
  • To plan, set up and man exhibitions, both local and international.
  • To sell directly to customers the company’s products and services.
  • To conduct Market research into potential business opportunities for new and current product lines.
  • To attend product training programs and sales conferences.

Profile: 

  • Education in Medicine, Biology or Biochemistry, full driving license.
  • Proven experience in sales to the laboratory or hospital communities, business to business, 1-2 years are sufficient
  • Experience in lab work or the diagnostic industry will be advantageous
  • Proven experience in conducting market research and collecting market intelligence
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills both verbally and written
  • Setting the right priorities on his / her own.
  • Important to our Client is your overall enthusiasm and team spirit to work with customers on application issues.
  • English and German language capabilities are a must.
