Position:         Lab Manager Analytics / Mass Spectrometry

Client

The Client is a leading supplier of products, software solutions and services for proteome research. The Client delivers products and services at superior quality and even GMP compliant with an experienced team.

The Client’s key technology is a patent protected platform to manufacture and apply protein expression libraries. Such highly efficient technology platform allows for the development of novel diagnostics based on autoantibody signatures in blood.

The Client is based in Dortmund, Germany in the local Technology Park. They serve clients worldwide with Business Develop-ment also in USA, Austria and Korea.

 

Task

Work on a variety of demanding projects in the field of protein analysis, partly under GMP conditions. Apply a vast spectrum of methods and tools specifically chosen for a customer’s application. Interact closely with the customers and define project plans, supervise their execution and coordinate those projects. Interprete and analyze the resulting data and write up the results in technical reports.

In addition, you would be asked to regularly evaluate new upcoming technologies. There is a small team you are asked to manage and develop.

 

Qualification

You have earned a PhD in biology, biochemistry or a closely related science. You have also worked several years in a field similar or related to protein analytics, ideally under GMP. In addition, you have experience in managing staff and you master the English language such that you can easily interact with customers. Being able to speak or eager to learn German is a nice to have and helps to integrate yourself into the team.

The Client expects reliability, good communication skills, being able to work under pressure and the ability to set up processes and organize those. It is critical to be enthusiastic, pursuing high  quality standards and still be listening carefully to customers.
